District 100 Awards

Alfred Herzing Award
  • The Toastmaster shall have completed the annual Google Challenge in the current program year.
  • The awardee shall have participated in a cohort in the current program year of the District 100 Visionary Builders Program or its equivalent.
  • The awardee shall be an integral part of the charter of at least three clubs, acting as the sponsor or primary resource supporting the club sponsor's success in the execution of the charter.
  • The award is a glass globe on a block symbolizing Alfred’s legacy as a Past International President and the global reach that chartering Toastmasters clubs can have on the members who join.
Richard Snyder Lifetime Achievement Award
  • The Toastmaster is a member in good standing
  • The Toastmaster shall have been a member for at least 10 years
  • The Toastmaster shall have served at the District level
  • The Toastmaster shall have significantly contributed to the success of members, clubs and District 100 as a whole
  • The Toastmaster shall have served as a mentor to District 100 Leadership
  • The Toastmaster shall embody the Core Values of Integrity, Respect, Service, and Excellence.
  • The award shall be a crystal apple to symbolize Richard’s Legacy as a teacher and the lessons taught and learned by the recipient throughout their tenure as a Toastmaster.
Celly Award
  • Champions the cause of Toastmasters and spreads the benefits of the education program to all
  • Has served the membership beyond the club level
  • Mentors members and continually encourages them to participate in the greater world of Toastmasters
  • The award shall be a colorful glass art piece to symbolize Celly’s colorful personality and the brightness and transparency that the recipient has shown in their service to our members.
Breakthrough Award
  • The club shall not have been Distinguished or better in the last two years.
  • The club shall have achieved Distinguished or better before the end of May in the current year.
  • Out of clubs achieving the above, The clubs will be ranked by number of club officers trained, number of new members added in the year, and total DCP.
New Member of the Year
  • The Toastmaster is a member in good standing
  • The Toastmaster shall have joined Toastmasters within the current or previous Toastmaster year.
  • The Toastmaster shall have contributed to the success of members, clubs and District 100 as a whole.
  • The Toastmaster shall have showcased an exceptional level of motivation and involvement, surpassing the typical engagement of a new member.
Member of the Year
  • The Toastmaster is a member in good standing
  • The Toastmaster shall have made significant contributions to the success and growth of their club, such as organizing events, recruiting new members, or improving club processes.
  • The Toastmaster shall have actively participated in district-level events, workshops, and conferences, contributing to the overall success and visibility of District 100.
  • The Toastmaster shall have shown dedication to personal and professional development by completing Toastmasters educational program milestones and advancing in their communication and leadership skills.
  • The Toastmaster shall have showcased an exceptional level of motivation and involvement, surpassing typical engagement.
Club of the Year
  • The club shall have achieved Distinguished or better before the end of May in the current year.
  • The club should have demonstrated consistent growth in membership numbers throughout the year.
  • The club should have facilitated the progress of its members in the Toastmasters educational program, with a significant number of members completing projects and advancing along their chosen learning paths.
  • The club should encourage and support members to take up and complete club and District 100 leadership roles.
  • The club should actively promote and participate in District 100 initiatives, events, and training programs.
Coach of the Quarter
  • Selected by the District Trio, Coach of the Quarter is chosen from among the appointed club coaches based upon the progress of the clubs within the Distinguished Club Program and/or input by the club officers.
  • If there is no appointed club coach that meets the above criteria, another member who is coaching District 100 members, may be selected.
Mentor of the Quarter
  • Selected by the District Trio, Mentor of the Quarter is chosen from among the appointed club mentors based upon the progress of the clubs within the Distinguished Club Program and/or input by the club officers.
  • If there is no appointed club mentor that meets the above criteria, another member who is mentoring District 100 members, may be selected.
Leader of the Pack of the Quarter
  • Selected by the District Trio, Leader of the Pack is chosen based upon the number and quality of clubs chartered by a member in the quarter.
  • If no clubs are chartered in a quarter, then the member with the most progress towards a new club may be chosen.
